PARLIAMENTARIANS FOR PEACE
| Bold political will at heart of the
THE PURPOSE
International relations are deteriorating. Attempts by great powers to undermine the multilateral method, to trade it for power relations, prevent us from building transnational solutions to global problems.
The Parliamentarians for Peace programme (P4P) constitutes a network of legislators from different countries, with various political cultures, from diverse intellectual backgrounds, who stand together with a strong conviction: our world needs political leadership. We cannot lose control of the digital revolution or waste time in the fight against climate change.
These representatives and senators from all around the world are gathered by the Open Diplomacy Institute within the « Normandy for Peace » initiative. Supported by the Normandy Region, this programme brings together international managers to support conflict resolution through mediation, dialogue and international cooperation.
The first « P4P » have published the Peace Policy Platform (3P) in October 2020. This declaration asserts strong principles for collective action and sets forth a list of international political solutions.
The second group of Parliamentarians for Peace have presented the 2021 Peace Policy Platform at the Normandy World Peace Forum on October 1st.

In the 21st century, we all need, as citizens, to grasp a better understanding of the world. For about 10 years, this is the mission of the Open Diplomacy Institute: empowering citizens in the global policy conversation. Our programs help better information, active training, and direct participation for everyone to bring ideas to diplomatic arenas.
| Main supporting partner: Normandy Region
The Normandy Region created the Normandy for Peace initiative in 2017. Normandy for Peace is a worldwide process to promote and construct peace, constituted of an extensive program of events throughout the year, as well as by the World Peace Forum, an echo to the 6th June 1944 landing. Its main goal is to build bridges, foster interaction between actors, and lead to solutions for sustainable peace. To this end, regional and international projects are set up, in Normandy and around the globe.
